The construction of the Water Treatment Plant continues progressing smoothly, with key milestones being met on schedule. Since the last update on 01/29/2025, the contractor Pacific Hydrotech has installed the water lines that will distribute the Well’s water throughout the Water Treatment Plant, creating an intricate network of distribution lines underground.
Electrical conduits that will run underground to interconnect the main infrastructure of the operations building have been buried and distributed to the different elements of the filtration system.
As the key items for the filtration system are being manufactured, the concrete foundation is ready and awaits their delivery. The Tribe has now received the main generator that will power this Water Plant in case of an emergency, This way, the Tribe will continue to have potable water services even when unforeseen circumstances occur.
The forms for the concrete pad for the operations building are currently being framed, with conduit, pipe, and rebar being placed, and will be poured soon. The building will house the main equipment controls that will run this plant.
The contractor Pacific Hydrotech is focused on adhering to strict quality control measures and environmental guidelines, ensuring the plant will be ready to provide clean and safe drinking water upon completion.
EDA as the project manager, and in coordination with Public Works and IHS, is currently supervising and managing the project making sure that is compliant, and all the required measures are followed to deliver this project in a timely manner.
