The Medicine Wheel Riders rode into the Quechan Indian Reservation on Friday, April 30, 2021 led by Shelly Denny. The Medicine Wheel Ride is an organization dedicated to riding in awareness of all Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW).
The Medicine Wheel Riders began their ride in Phoenix, Arizona on their way to San Diego, California. During their visit at the Quechan Administration Building they received blessings by Ms Barbara Levy for a continued safe journey.
The Riders also presented an eagle's feather to the family of Ms. Patrionna Waters, a Tribal Member that fell victim to MMIW. The feather was presented to her children as a reminder that their mother is out there, and also represents strength and power to their family.
