The office of the Tribal Administration has received multiple inquiries concerning President Joaquin and Vice-President Hall and their absence.

The President and Vice-President of the Quechan Indian Tribe are currently on approved leave in accordance with the Quechan Indian Tribe Personnel Policy Manual Chapter 7, 2 Sick Leave.

Vice-President Hall has designated Council Member Virgil S. Smith as the Delegation of Authority. Council Member Smith has been diligent in ensuring the continuity of services within the administrative functions of the Quechan Indian Tribe as well as the assistance within the Social Services Program.

During this time, the Quechan Tribal Council is involved with all other issues and is currently assisting Council Member Smith with any significant issues that may arise.
