President Jordan D. Joaquin Resignation

From the desk of President Jordan D. Joaquin:

It is with a profound sense of respect and care for the Quechan Tribe that I announce my decision to step-down from my role as President before my full term concludes in 2026. While this decision has been a challenging one personally, I believe it is in the best interest of our tribe and its future.

The responsibilities of the President and Vice President are vital to ensuring the smooth operation and continued success of our tribe. As such, I cannot ask the tribal council and membership to hold my position while I focus on regaining full health and well-being. My commitment to our tribe remains steadfast, and I have made this decision with the hope that it will provide the continuity and leadership necessary for us to thrive.

Having had the privilege to serve as both a council member and President for a total of IO years, I am deeply humbled and honored by the trust and support extended to me during this time. Working alongside the tribal council and community has been one of the greatest privileges of my life, and I will forever cherish the memories and accomplishments we have achieved together.

My last day will be April 25, 2025, or sooner if the tribe chooses to fill the position earlier for the sake of continuity. I have full confidence that the tribal council and membership will continue to lead with strength, wisdom, and unity, building upon the legacy we have created together.

I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the dedicated employees of the Quechan Indian Tribe, who have persevered through countless changes within their departments to ensure the continued operation of our tribe. Your resilience, commitment, and unwavering dedication make a profound impact each day, even in the face of uncertainty.

I also wish to express my sincere appreciation to the hardworking teams at Paradise Casino and the Q Resort. No matter which shift you are on, your contributions are invaluable in creating an atmosphere of pride and joy for our customers. Your efforts ensure that every visitor experiences the warmth and excellence that defines our establishment.

To the tribal members who have supported me throughout the years, I thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve, and for the unwavering support you have shown throughout my tenure. I remain dedicated to the success of the Quechan Tribe and am committed to supporting the transition during this time.

With deep gratitude and respect,

Jordan D. Joaquin, President
Quechan Tribal Council
