ACF's one application allows you to be matched with more than 150 scholarships.
High school seniors, current college students, and adult re-entry students attending any type of accredited postsecondary school may apply.
The application opens in January, and most deadlines are in March and May.

How does this work?
Complete your general application that includes a response to the three essay prompts below. Applicants will choose a prompt in each section and provide a response in no more than 250 words.
Essay prompt #1 | Self Advocacy & Resilience
Choose one of the prompts below:
- Describe a time when you felt like you didn't fit in. Share what you learned from the experience.
- Has there ever been a time when an idea or belief of yours was questioned by someone? How did you respond? What did you learn?
- Discuss a life event or realization that sparked a period of personal growth.
Essay prompt #2 | Leadership and Solving the World's Problems
Choose one of the prompts below:
- Name one of the most pressing problems facing society today. If you were in charge, how would you solve that problem?
- If you could give your younger self a piece of advice about your education or future, what would it be and why?
- Are leaders born or are they made? Explain your reasoning using personal examples.
Essay prompt #3 | Creativity & Personality
Choose one of the prompts below:
- Name a historical figure who has influenced you. How have they impacted the person you are today?
- How has your culture shaped who you are? How has it influenced the perspective you have on the world?
- Describe a topic, idea, or concept that currently fascinates you. Why does it captivate you?What or who do you turn to when you want to learn more?
