Widespread Minor Heat Risk throughout the week with many local desert communities having highs in the mid-to-upper 90s and near 100 degrees.
Local Moderate Heat Risk on Friday and Sunday with widespread Moderate Heat Risk across the lower deserts on Saturday with highs in the upper 90s to low 100s.
Frequent afternoon breezes around 25 mph combined with very dry conditions resulting in a locally elevated fire danger.

Quechan Housing Authority is seeking volunteers to assist Self-Help grant recipients by providing labor on their home project to meet program requirements.
Volunteer activities include but are not limited to:
Demoing and demo cleaning
Interior/Exterior Painting
Yard cleanup and more
Any skill trades are welcome

Yuma Desert Contractors will be performing approved control burns in the Ranch 5 area to prepare the land for new construction of a subdivision. Burning will attempt to begin on Monday, April 29th with approval from Air Quality Control. Burning is planned to continue throughout the month of May until area is cleared.
